The short answer, using Ava Travel’s own prices: a private Vietnam holiday package from Ava Travel with your own guide and driver costs about $720 per person for 7 days, $1,220 for 10 days and $1,820 for 14 days with 3 and 4-star hotels, two sharing. That includes hotels with breakfast, guide, car, entrance fees, the meals in the itinerary and, on most routes, a night on a Halong Bay cruise. International flights are not included, and on most routes neither are the one or two domestic flights.

When to go
For a north to south holiday, February to April is the best all-round window. October and November are clearest in the north, but the central coast is in its rainy season. The south and Phu Quoc are driest from November to April. Month by month in the best time to visit Vietnam.
